Sub: Suggestions on recommendations of SCPC – Reg

Sir,

In our earlier letters regarding the suggestions on recommendations of Sixth Central Pay Commission, we requested the need to constituted a joint committee representing the authorities and representatives of the employees to go through the suggestions and prepare a joint memoranda to be submitted the Government – High Power Committee/Committee of Secretaries. This has been done by other Departments including DRDO and prepared joint report on anomalies of SCPC recommendations to submit to the Committee of Secretaries. By doing so, these Department has took the employees and their representatives in to confidence and created an atmosphere of mutual trust.

Whereas in CPWD, after discussing with the staff side, by taking the staff side into confidence, prepared a report to submit the Committee of Secretaries. The CPWD, which is coming under Ministry of Urban Development having large number of engineers, diploma holders, draughtsman and technical staff as the employees, further come foreword by placing their report in their Web site – www.cpwd.gov.in by which the authorities took the whole CPWD employees into confidence.

We hope you also take steps to take the staff side into confidence by sharing the views of the Department with the employees. Also hope that the suggestions to be submitted to the Committee of Secretaries shall be place before the employees of the Department to take them into confidence.
